Smita Worah, Ph.D
Education Consultant

As an education consultant, Smita works closely with the Bureau of Special Education, Connecticut State Department of Education. Smita’s goal is to facilitate policymakers, administrators, curriculum and technology developers, and educators to deliver equitable programs for students with disabilities. Smita’s passion for working with students with disabilities is a result of her personal international experience as an educator and an individual with a disability. Smita is a dynamic and experienced special educator, researcher, and trainer whose goal is to assist policy makers, administrators, curriculum and technology developers, and educators in delivering programs, developing technologies, and implementing policies and procedures to support students with diverse needs. Smita has worked with students with significant special needs and believes that all children can make progress in becoming independent within their limitations provided they have the supports.
