Dr. Maleka Donaldson
Assistant Professor of Early Elementary Education at the University of Hartford

Dr. Maleka Donaldson is an Assistant Professor of Early Elementary Education at the University of Hartford. She teaches integrated methods courses and student teaching seminars for undergraduate- and graduate-level students in the Early Childhood and Elementary programs. In her research, Dr. Donaldson explores how teachers and students respond to mistakes in real-world instructional contexts. Her recent studies have investigated teacher and student attitudes about mistakes and learning, as well as mistake-related interpersonal interactions and classroom culture.

Dr. Donaldson holds an A.B. in Biology from Harvard College and two Ed.M. degrees from the Harvard Graduate School of Education – one in Human Development & Psychology and another in Learning & Teaching. She also earned her doctorate in Human Development & Education from Harvard GSE.
