Heidi Maderia, MS, IMH-E®, currently serves as the Executive Director for the Connecticut Association for Infant Mental Health, Inc. (CT-AIMH).  She previously held positions as Early Childhood SAMHSA Grant Training Coordinator, Family Resource Center Coordinator and Childcare Program Director.

Ms. Maderia has spent her career serving children 0-6 who are experiencing a myriad of social, emotional and behavior issues, and has been privileged to partner with their families to discover, enhance and integrate the best supports for them, while promoting the importance of positive first relationships. More recently, she is working on various inter-disciplinary, statewide committees with the goal of raising the competence of the early childhood workforce by developing, presenting and coordinating training curricula and opportunities for CT providers.

Ms. Maderia is currently the co-chair of the Training Committee for the Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health and meets regularly with the Alliance Leaders throughout the US.  Ms. Maderia actively participates in the annual Retreat for Alliance members.

Ms. Maderia has submitted accepted proposals at the World Association for Infant Mental Health (WAIMH) and Zero to Three Conferences; describing training initiatives for child care providers and child protection workers.  These presentations have included the evaluation results showing the effectiveness of the material presented.  She also coordinates two CT-AIMH statewide conferences each year on various IMH topics.

Ms. Maderia started her studies at Boston College, and received a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Connecticut State University.
