Deb Adams
Workforce Specialist for the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood

Deb Adams is a workforce specialist for the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood where she is involved in system work on early childhood workforce credentialing, professional development, technical assistance criteria, quality assurance, and core knowledge and competency document development.  Deb is a liaison to the higher education community and works closely with professional development contractors as a bridge to connect both pre-service and in-service through a competency-based lens.  Her work is informed by prior experiences as preschool teacher, early childhood director, higher education faculty, and state agency education consultant with that of current research in the early childhood field coupled with a Ph.D. in adult learning focused on professional learning design that impacts practice and beliefs.
